Moxy Columbia Downtown

This is an older building renovation so the rooms are smaller, but the building had a lot of charm and is centrally located and within walking distance of many great restaurants. We did not experience valet issues as others have stated. The rooftop to bar is a great space, but we liked the bar downstairs. Ethan was a great bartender with wonderful and original crafted drinks. Super job Ethan! The only downside we experienced was the noise at night. But, when you are in the center of town, you have to expect some level of noise. Overall great place, clean, and very friendly staff!

Stayed the night after the Alabama football game with a free night reward. Right across the street from the capitol and close to some really good downtown restaurants. Valet parking was quick and easy. Rooms are tiny but I actually loved it! Felt like I was in Manhattan and the hotel itself and the rooms had a vintage feel. Great for a solo traveler at least.

Great location! Close to so much and gorgeous view of the Christmas tree!! Check in bar was super busy but Tegan had it all under control! She served with speed and even with other employees busy she took care of drinks and kept guest happy! Like others have said the rooms are small but have everything you would need for a comfortable stay.

Jojo and Shawn were some of the best bartenders/hosts I’ve seen in the nightlife scene in Columbia , in my 10 years of living here! It’s awesome to see newer businesses bringing the quality of all around service above the roof in The Capitol! 11/10 recommend!!

What a cool place to stay. We came to explore Columbia (first time here) and loved everything about the Moxy. The bartender/check-in clerk was friendly and funny; the room, while small, was comfortable with an awesome view of the State House; the rooftop at sunset was perfect; the location at the top of Main Street made the whole city walkable. But what made it so great was the staff. Everyone was kind, funny, and helpful. We’ll definitely be back.

I love the rooftop bar here! The views the drinks and staff are such a vibe! I recently went and had crafted cocktails made by Ethan who is clearly a master mixologist! He created this drink for us called lavender haze and an apple cinnamon smash. Marissa created a spice apple margarita as well and these drinks are the perfect edition to the weather. Went to the rooftop bar which was amazing! The views were incredible, service was fast and friendly, and the cocktails were fun. And their food truck will deliver dinner to you at the bar, which was very convenient. The only complaint we had was the music. It was really loud, pounding, club music and you really couldn't get away from it anywhere on the roof. It would've been pretty much perfect with a better selection of tunes. Still, would recommend, if just for the view.

My fiancée and I had an amazing stay at Moxy Columbia Downtown! From the moment we arrived, the vibe was fun, welcoming, and modern. The staff truly went above and beyond to make our stay special they surprised my fiancée with a cake and complimentary bottles of wine, which meant a lot to us and made the trip unforgettable. The hotel was clean, stylish, and perfectly located downtown. Everything we needed was close by, and the atmosphere was lively but still comfortable. You can tell the staff genuinely cares about their guests and creating memorable experiences. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will definitely be back. Highly recommend Moxy Columbia Downtown for anyone looking for a great time and excellent hospitality!
